Lamp lighting ceremony takes place at 2nd day of IIBS Summit by Chief Guest Shashi Tharoor, Member of Loksabha, Thiruvanathapura, Kerela; Prithviraj Kothari, National President, IBJA; Aksha Mohit Khamboj, National Vice President, IBJA; David Tait, CEO, World Gold Council; Jignesh Shah, Mentor & Coach, IGM, Founder MCX, DGCX, IEX, SMX, MCX-SX ODIN; Sriram Krishnan, Chief Business Development Officer, National Stock Exchange; and Sivanshu Mehta, Head Bullion, MCX and other dignitaries.

Aksha Khamboj, National Vice President, IBJA gave a warm welcome address. She stressed the IBJA's roadmap and benefits of being IBJA verified member.

Shashi Tharoor spoke deeply about the global economic scenario, currencies etc. He shares that India is the 2nd largest importer of gold after petroleum. Over the years gold and silver have laid a strong foundation and has given great returns. Gold is a trust without institution that has turned into fianancial strenght, wealth preservator. Considering the household gold in India it is 3.8 trillion dollar gold and has seen 62 per cent surge to it. I think gold should be considered as a strategic asset in long term economic strenght."

During the inauguration Prithviraj Kothari said, "I welcome everyone to IIBS Summit. Bullion industry has travelleved through times and its amazing to see all the bullion stalwarts here today. Gold in India is not just a piece of jewellery but is a culture, currency, and economic backbone. My vision for our industry is to have digital exhibition for gold in the times ahead."

Further Kothari stressed upon how introduction new technology will help take the gold industry ahead.
