Damas Jewellery, one of the Gulf region’s most enduring and recognisable jewellery brands, has entered a new leadership era with the appointment of Ananthanarayanan Hariharan as its Chief Executive Officer. The announcement comes at a pivotal moment, as Titan Company Ltd. advances a transaction that—when completed—will give the company a 67% stake in Damas through its UAE subsidiary, with the remaining 33% continuing to be held by Mannai Corporation.

Though headquartered in Dubai since 1907, Damas has long been a brand of relevance across the Middle East. Hariharan’s appointment signals a decisive step by Titan to extend its international retail presence with clear long-term intent.

From 2017 to 2023, he served as Senior Vice President & Business Head – Fashion & Lifestyle at Reliance Retail, and subsequently led retail and merchandising at Novel Jewels, the Aditya Birla Group’s jewellery venture. His educational grounding at IIM Calcutta and BITS Pilani further reinforces his blend of analytical rigour and brand-focused leadership.
