When Italian Artistry meets Indian Luxury: SICIS x The House of Rose

24-11-2025   12:50 PM

A rare showcase of micromosaic high jewellery at Mumbai’s most refined jewellery maison.

SICIS Jewels, the celebrated Italian jewellery maison known for reimagining the centuries-old art of micromosaic, made its India debut at The House of Rose, India’s foremost luxury jewellery destination located in Ballard Estate, Darabshaw House, Mumbai. For their India debut, SICIS presented a rare curation of high jewellery, fine jewellery, and timepieces, each meticulously handcrafted by master mosaicists. What began as an exploration of goldsmithing and historic micromosaic soon evolved into a full-fledged high jewellery and watchmaking maison, now recognised internationally for its precision, innovation, and distinctly modern interpretation of an 18th-century craft.

The collaboration between the maisons traces back to the creation of The SICIS Bar at The House of Rose, an intimate, mosaic-lined space that brings the Italian atelier’s artistry into the heart of Rose’s flagship experience. This early collaboration laid the groundwork for a deeper partnership and naturally led to the presentation of SICIS Jewels in India. Although this was SICIS’ first jewellery showcase in the country, the maison has had a long-standing presence in India through its architectural and interior commissions, establishing a connection with India well before the introduction of their high jewellery collections.

At SICIS, our work is rooted in the micromosaic tradition my family has nurtured for decades. Each jewel reflects this legacy—where historic technique meets a contemporary sensibility. In The House of Rose, we found a partner whose commitment to craftsmanship and connoisseurship mirrors our own. Introducing SICIS Jewels in India through a maison that approaches its craft with such depth and discernment felt both natural and meaningful, says Gioia Placuzzi, Creative Director, SICIS Jewels.

“At Rose, we have always embraced maisons that bring a distinct artistic voice to the world of fine jewellery. SICIS stands apart for their ability to transform an age-old craft into something contemporary and emotionally powerful. Presenting their jewels at The House of Rose allowed our patrons to experience artistry at its purest—where technique, history, and imagination come together”, says Biren Vaidya, Founder & Managing Director, The House of Rose.

Gioia’s contemporary sensibility has positioned SICIS among the most innovative voices in high jewellery today, with its creations housed in Milan, Paris, London, and Hong Kong.
