The Met Gala 2025 : Tailored in Natural Diamonds

09-05-2025   03:15 PM

Each year since 1948, an exclusive assembly of A-list guests gathers in New York City for fashion’s biggest night, the Met Gala. This event becomes a glittering stage for some of the most iconic natural diamond moments in history. From timeless heirloom pieces to bold, modern statements, natural diamonds have long been an essential part of the red carpet narrative, adding depth, legacy, and brilliance to every ensemble. This year, as the exhibit “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” shines a spotlight on the artistry of menswear and the theme “Tailored for You” celebrates self-expression through suiting.

Natural diamonds once again take center stage, not just as accessories, but as symbols of individuality, heritage, and timeless elegance. Whether subtly embedded in lapel pins or boldly worn as layered necklaces and brooches, natural diamonds continue to define luxury and permanence in a night known for the most sought-after fashion statements.

Priyanka Chopra in Bulgari

At the heart of the actress’s look was a striking Bulgari necklace set with natural diamonds and the 241-carat Magnus Emerald, the largest the design house has ever mounted.

Shah Rukh Khan in Sabyasachi Fine Jewellery

The King of Bollywood let his jewellery speak volumes. Called the Dandy Stack, the exquisite pieces crafted in 18k gold feature old mine cut and brilliant cut natural diamonds. A diamond star brooch at the lapel finishes the look.

Diljit Dosanjh in Golecha Jewels

Dosanjh’s look was nothing short of royalty. The focal point: a layered, real diamond necklace by Golecha Jewels, inspired by Maharaja Bhupinder Singh’s legendary Patiala necklace crafted by Cartier. A jewelled turban, crowned with a striking central brooch, sealed the look with regal flair.

Kiara Advani in Kantilal Chhotalal

Kiara Advani’s MET Gala debut was a masterclass in mixing metals with real diamonds — featuring a 17-carat pear-shaped ring, a 5-carat Toi-et-Moi ring, and a heart-shaped diamond earring by Kantilal Chhotalal worn on one ear.

Isha M. Ambani in Her Own Diamonds

Isha M. Ambani wore an incredible necklace from her “personal jewelry collection.” Boasting over 481 carats of diamonds, Ambani had the piece made to replicate Cartier’s famed Toussaint Necklace, as seen in the 2018 film Ocean’s 8.
