Rapaport Corporation, USA, has chosen India to host its first Pre-Auction Diamond Viewing Event in over 15 years, marking a landmark moment for the global diamond trade. The four-day viewing event is being held from 13–16 July 2026 at the Bharat Ratnam Mega Common Facilitation Centre (Mega CFC), SEEPZ, Mumbai.

Organised by Rapaport in collaboration with GJEPC, the inaugural Rapaport Melee Auction features nearly 14,000 carats of pre-owned diamonds from the US. The event has been made possible through the Government of India’s expansion of the Free Trade Warehousing Zone (FTWZ) framework at the Mega CFC, enabling warehousing, viewing and exhibition of gems and jewellery products, as well as international pre-auction inspections in India for the first time.
