WGC-IIGJ Explore Roadmap for Gold Innovation

Senior leadership from the World Gold Council visited IIGJ Mumbai on 21 April 2026 to explore collaborations on gold jewellery innovation, talent development, and design-led initiatives, while engaging with students presenting their ‘Glimpz’ projects.

The WGC delegation included Nigel Ruth (COO), Terry Heymann (Chief Strategy Officer), Sachin Jain (Regional CEO – India) .They were received by Milan Chokshi (Chairman, IIGJ), Debasish Biswas (CEO, IIGJ), and Dolly Choudhary (Director – Promotions, Marketing & Business Development, GJEPC).

Discussions focused on integrating gold into curricula, design hackathons, artisan upskilling, and building global narratives for Indian craftsmanship, with GJEPC highlighting platforms like The Artisan Awards to scale impact globally.
