Belgaum District Suvarna Sammelan 2026: A Landmark Gathering of the Jewellery Fraternity

06-04-2026   02:45 PM

In a historic and grand congregation of the jewellery community, the Belgaum District Suvarna Sammelan 2026 was successfully organized by the Daivadnya Jewellers Association Belgaum at the iconic Suvarna Vidhana Soudha. The mega event, powered by the All India Gem and Jewellery Domestic Council (GJC), witnessed an overwhelming participation of over 700 jewellers from more than 30 locations across and around Belgaum, along with delegates from neighbouring states.

The event was graced by eminent dignitaries including Honourable Karnataka PWD Minister Satish Jarkiholi, MLA Abhay Patil, and Deputy Commissioner Mohammed Roshan, who attended as Chief Guests. Their presence underscored the importance of the jewellery sector in regional economic growth and cultural heritage.

Distinguished industry leaders including GJC Chairman Rajesh Rokade, Vice Chairman Avinash Gupta, and Karnataka Jewellery Federation representative Shrikanth Kari graced the occasion as Guests of Honour, lending valuable insights into the evolving dynamics of the industry.

The Sammelan served as a powerful platform for dialogue on key industry challenges and opportunities.

A significant highlight of the discussions was the proposal to establish dedicated jewellery clusters equipped with hi-tech manufacturing facilities.

The Sammelan also addressed critical concerns related to security and regulation.
Deliberations were held on the formation of a vigilance committee with jewellers’ participation, along with a request to the Karnataka Government and district administration to implement structured guidelines for handling cases of stolen jewellery—taking cues from similar initiatives recently introduced in Maharashtra.

In response, the district administration assured proactive collaboration with the jewellery community to address their concerns and develop effective solutions, reinforcing a spirit of partnership between the government and the industry.

The event was successfully hosted under the dynamic leadership of Chairman Mr. Manik Anvekar, Secretary Mr. Vaibhav Vernekar, and Treasurer Mr. Prashant Revankar, whose collective efforts ensured the seamless execution of this landmark Sammelan.

The Belgaum District Suvarna Sammelan 2026 stands as a milestone event, fostering unity, innovation, and progressive dialogue within the jewellery fraternity, while paving the way for a more organized and empowered future for the industry.
