AOJ E-NEWS: The 13th edition Gem & Jewellery India International Exhibition (GJIIE) is gearing up with a promising note. One of South India’s largest B2B trade show, it is all set to ward off the demonetisation effect on the trade. Jayantilal Challani, President, MJDMA shares his views exclusively with AOJ.

Speaking on the show expectations, Jayantilal Challani said, “ The demonetisation had crippled the jewellery industry for a short term but now it is recovering as the cash flow is gradually increasing in the market. GJIIE is the 1st show in South India post demonetisation and we are very optimistic about its success. With positive response at IIJS Signature and Jewel Trendz, the jewellers are now confident that the 13th edition of GJIIE will receive an overwhelming response.”

The three day event which will be will be held from 10th to 12th March 2017 at the Chennai Trade Centre will accommodate 300 plus stalls and this year we are expecting over 12,000 visitors.

GJIIE is a platform in South India for buyers and suppliers to connect, network, exchange ideas, discover upcoming trends and generate business opportunities. Every year the show has something new to offer. This year the show will be also seen creating awareness and knowledge sharing through seminars on GST, BIS Hallmarking, Financing and so on with participation from the industry experts. Beside the seminars, the venue will also hold GJF – South Zone meeting and Tamil Nadu Jewellery Federation meeting which will witness major industry players.

The 13th edition received good response from the exhibitors’ pre event. The exhibitors are getting ready with extensive spectrum of merchandise in diamonds, pearls, gemstones, studded jewellery, exquisite South Indian gold jewellery and much more.
